Booths, the Lancashire-based family-owned food retailer, has just opened its 27th store next to the BBC’s new northern home at MediaCityUK in Salford.
Booths is a great business and this store gets top marks from Savvy. Product is strong, with notable highlights including fruit & vegetables and locally sourced meat and deli lines. The store environment is contemporary and functional, making effective use of the double height ceiling to ensure excellent visibility and easy navigation for the shopper. Visual merchandising is compelling, no more so than at the fresh counters which can be seen from most areas of the store. As ever at Booths, staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient.
We’re sure this store will do well and hope to see more urban store openings in 2012.
